New York Magazine has an article on the evolution of the foot and how we are destroying them daily with the footwear we wear. It took 4 million years of evolution to perfect the human foot and apparently day by day, we're ruining them. The article also profiles a few shoe companies trying to make a better shoe that is more suitable to the foot with a more bare-foot feel. The photographs in the article feature feet with painted on shoes, they look great. The makeup was done by John Maurad and Jenai Chin from New York based Tempu Paints.
