Radiohead's latest video, for the track "House of Cards" from the In Rainbows album, uses real time 3D recording instead of cameras, utilizing highly technical structured light and Lidar laser-enhanced scanners to model lead singer Thom Yorke and provide an otherworldly narrative accompaniment to the song. “I made the video as a final piece for my degree show. It’d been an idea which was burning for a while, so the actual execution of it only took around a week, although there were a few all-nighters. It was such a tight deadline, as I also had the rest of my degree show to finish in that time too.”

“When In Rainbows was released, the song Nude brought back this recurring idea of mine, as it was a perfect fit. Luckily, a few weeks later Radiohead launched the radiohead remix contest, which supplied each of the elements (bass, vocals, drums etc) of Nude, as separate unmixed audio files to play around with. I couldn’t believe my luck and started getting to work."

Sadly this piece was created a little too late to enter the Radiohead remix contest, but Houston has recieved critical acclaim from Radiohead, who have even gone on and put the video on their website. This is honestly one of the coolest things i've seen in a while. Talk about thinking outside the box.

The Roots newest album entitled "Rising Down" is now in stores and is a must hear. The Roots continue to break norms and push limits while still producing classic feel good hip hop. The album is brighter than a usual Roots record while at the same darker than anything they've ever done. It's described by Questlove as,"the most incendiary, political album of our career to date." The cover work is in reference to what the general confederate fear was of blacks during reconstruction after the civil war. The fear that blacks would engulf everything and everyone, and destroy it soon after.

feeling of the Confederate Union towards the newly freed slaves and
the idea that if given power they would reek havoc and chaos on the
country.

somehow in watching this election one can't help but wonder if those

Gnarls Barkley have decided to release their "Odd Couple"album online for free download, but with one catch. The entire album complete with artwork is being released backwards. The album begins with the end of the last song and is played in reverse until the beginning of the first song. The entire album will be one 38 long track encompassing all the songs from The Odd Couple. I've never heard of anything like this being done ever.
